Vince brings a deep love of the blues and decades of Bay Area musical experience to Body Mind & Soul.

A founder of several Bay Area blues bands and the driving force behind the nationally acclaimed Club Fox Blues Jam, Vince has shared the stage with a who’s who of renowned blues artists. His playing draws from everything from early blues and soul to rock ’n’ roll, psychedelic and country rock.

In BMS, Vince is the groove behind the groove—his rhythm guitar is incredibly tight, giving the band its foundation while leaving room for the music to breathe.

And then, when the moment comes...

He slides effortlessly into a solo and takes it somewhere else.

Kevin is the engine of Body Mind & Soul.

A Bay Area drummer, educator and seasoned performer, Kevin brings an incredibly versatile musical vocabulary to the band, with experience spanning Blues, Rock, R&B, Funk, Americana, Jazz, Country, World Beat and more. He has performed nationally and internationally as well as throughout the West Coast.

But with BMS, it's all about the groove.

Kevin knows how to lay down a rhythm that makes you want to move—and when the rhythm section locks in, you feel it.

That's the BMS heartbeat.

Philip brings decades of experience, musical depth and a finely tuned sense of what the song needs to Body Mind & Soul.

A Bay Area native and classically trained cellist who found his way to keyboards, Philip has been a sought-after keyboardist for decades. His musical influences range from progressive and classic rock to the rich sounds of Journey, Boston and Styx.

In BMS, Philip is all about the perfect fill at the perfect moment—adding color, texture and dimension without ever getting in the way of the groove.

And with his background as an accomplished sound engineer who has worked with artists including Bonnie Raitt, Elvin Bishop, War, Tower of Power and others, he brings an exceptional ear to everything he does.

He hears the landscape—and knows exactly how to fill it.

Gary is the foundation of Body Mind & Soul.

A longtime go-to bassist in the Bay Area, Gary brings deep experience on both electric and upright bass. Over the years, he has shared the stage with nationally known artists including Lightnin' Hopkins, Mary Wells, Big Joe Turner, Lowell Fulson and Brownie McGhee, as well as many beloved Bay Area artists.

In BMS, Gary lays down the kind of bass you feel in your body. He locks in with Kevin to create the heartbeat underneath everything else—and when that groove hits, it's hard to stay in your seat.

Jack brings decades of blues, soul and rock experience to Body Mind & Soul—and when he picks up the sax, he's the icing on the cake.

Jack has been a fixture in the Bay Area music scene for decades, performing at the San Francisco Blues Festival and the first San Jose Fountain Blues Festival. He has recorded at Kid Andersen's Greaseland Studios and performed as a member of the Greaseland All-Stars, as well as alongside artists including Chris Cain, Mark Hummel, Aki Kumar, Billy Price, Sid Morris and John Blues Boyd.

His tenor and baritone sax bring that extra layer of soul, grit and musical conversation that takes BMS to another level.
